The famous Shova Vagabati temple is one of the most renowned Devi temples in the Kathmandu valley. Shova Vagabati temple is believed to fulfill wishes and desires of the devotees. Originally the shrine was named Shouvagya Vagabati which means luck especially in marriage life. Later, this name turned into Shova Vagabati and it is one of the major four Vagabati temples of Kathmandu, Nepal. Vagabati Durga had said in Purana that “Whoever offers puja at Chaitra Dashain and Navaratri would be graced and fortune will follow.

Puja at this divine temple of Vagabati is offered especially on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This temple of Vagabati Devi is believed to kill the pessimistic force adjoining an individual.
