ABOUT DAKSHINKALI

Dakshinkali, the goddess of Divine Energy is located at a distance of 18km south from kathmandu valley which is renowned by the name of the Goddess herself in National and International areas. The incarnation of the Goddess Dakshinkali is that of the Goddess Chamunda and is postured at of a corspe. It is believed that the Godsess Dakshinkali was being respected as incorporeal and spiritual figure gave a Darshan( bless) to king Pratap Malla in his dream at night and advised him to construct the Goddess Dakshinkali by setting up the idol of the Goddess.

Accordingly, the king ordered to repare the stone- idol of the Goddess Dakshinkali which is also known as Dakshinkali Aamnaayanaayikaa, and performed the work of consecrating the image of the Goddess in the temple in a traditional manner pertaining to the Mantra at the meeting place of two holly rivulets named as Poornabati( emblem of completeness) and Udhabarbati( Emblem of salvation). Since then undoubtedly Goddess Dakshinkali is being one of the most trustworthy and wish-accomplished Goddess among pilgrims.
