Kenneth Blanchard was born on the 6th of May, 1939, in Orange, New Jersey. He completed his graduation in 1957 from New Rochelle High School. Later, he got his BA from Cornell University in government and philosophy and MA from Colgate University in sociology and counseling. In 1967, he completed his PhD in education administration and leadership at Cornell University. He is a visiting professor at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and is a Cornell University trustee emeritus. He co-founded The Ken Blanchard Companies in 1979 with his wife, Marjorie Blanchard. He has authored more than 30 bestselling titles and his masterpiece The One Minute Manager has been translated into 37 languages and has sold more than 13 million copies.

Sheldon Bowles is a famous entrepreneur with Business Week and New York Times. He is famously known as the author of several management books.
