Cards on the Table is a detective novel by the famous author Agatha Christie, and was first published by Collins Crime in 1936. Agatha's book features Hercule Poirot, Colonel Race, Superintendent Battle, and the crime writer Ariadne Oliver as its main characters, who are the crime specialists. A harmless game of bridge turns into a murder investigation when the flamboyant host Mr. Shaitana is found dead. The four investigators get down to solve the mystery, each in their own way. An intriguing story filled with suspense, the psychological considerations of Hercule Poirot wherein he solves the mystery dealt as a game of Bridge and the methodical working of Superintendent Battle make it a very interesting read.
