Glenmorangie The Nectar D'Or (46% Vol) has a fine taste of ginger, nutmeg and toasted almonds which brings a deep, warming taste interwoven with a syrupy lemon meringue and honeycomb middle.

It's great to see French casks that actually complement a whisky - so rare! An exercise in outrageously good sweet-dry balancing.

This whisky has lime and orange rind with sultanas and dates which gives a rich fruity flavour laced with tantalising spices of coconut and nutmeg. Long and lusciously sweet finish with lemon zest, white chocolate, vanilla and traces of ginger and nutmeg.

In the far North of Scotland, beside the ancient Royal Burgh of Tain, lies the Glenmorangie Distillery. Established in 1843, Glenmorangie is still to this day perfected by the Sixteen Men of Tain. In the Gaelic language Glenmorangie means "Valley of Tranquility", perfect describing the distillery's peaceful setting on the banks of the picturesque Dornoch Firth.

The finest golden barley & mineral-rich water from the Glenmorangie Distillery's own Tarlogie springs come together in the tallest whisky stills in Scotland to produce a spirit of rare finesse & delicacy.

Our pioneering research into the effect of wood selection on whisky maturation is exemplified by The Nectar D'Or, where mature Glenmorangie is transferred from the orginal bourbon cask & then extra matured or ‘finished' in exquisite Sauternes wine barriques from some of the most respected vineyards of France. "Or" means gold in both Gaelic & French, while of course "Nectar" is the drink of the Gods!

Toasted oak & vanilla are intricately woven with honey, lemon & spices to create a mix of sumptuous flavors, a silky texture & a long, lingering finish. Importantly, The Nectar D'Or is non chill-filtered & bottled at a strength of 46%. This imparts added body, taste & texture to the spirit.
